NielsenIQ BookData reserves the right to include or exclude specific product information at its sole discretion. For more information please read our Data collection policy.

You can supply your book information to us in the following ways:

Online via Title Editor

We recommend independent publishers and self-published authors use our Title Editor Service. Title Editor enables you to view and edit your book information, upload new titles and add cover images. The site is free to use and is the quickest way of supplying your data to our database.

ONIX

ONIX (Online Information Exchange) is the international standard for representing and communicating book industry product information in electronic form. As such, it is our preferred message format for receiving rich product information from publishers. ONIX can be used by publishers of all sizes and at varying levels of complexity.

If you want to start testing an ONIX message with NielsenIQ BookData please contact our Testing & Integration team who will guide you through the process: testing.book@nielseniq.com

Data supply in other formats

We accept other structured electronic file formats, which is recommended for larger publishers who have a catalogue of over 200 titles. Please contact us to discuss the options available: testing.book@nielseniq.com

Please note that a development fee may be charged when setting up a data supply.

Cover images

A cover image is a critical element in the book information we provide to our customers and an important selling tool for you. If you have a large number of images to supply, or have any questions about uploading images to our gallery please email: images.book@nielseniq.com.

Distribution and address changes

It is critically important that you keep us up to date with any change in your distribution arrangements otherwise you may not receive your customer orders. Please use one of the following forms to inform us of any changes:
