Introduction
Since 2006, NielsenIQ BookData has been providing continuous, data-driven insights into the Swiss book market together with the Swiss book association (SBVV). Using electronic point-of-sale (POS) data from both physical and online retailers, we track the quantity and price of each ISBN sold. This enables us to produce accurate sales charts and detailed market reports.
Sales measurement
Physical Sales
Each week, we monitor sales of over 70,000 unique titles, totalling approximately 500,000 titles annually. This robust dataset offers a clear view of both short-term trends and long-term consumer behaviour.
eBooks
Each week, we monitor sales of over 15,000 unique titles, totalling approximately 120,000 titles annually.
Our data is delivered through a powerful online business intelligence platform, allowing users to filter and analyse information at any level of detail.
