On a journey to explore new boundaries
We are Linkontro.
It was 1985 when a group of entrepreneurs and managers from the consumer goods sector came up with the idea of organizing a tennis tournament between managers from branded goods industries and distribution, with the goal of creating competition but also providing an informal meeting space for the key players in the consumer goods industry, at a time when tensions between Brands and Distribution were beginning to surface. Nielsen, with its “neutral” position, turned out to be the ideal organizer for this event. And so it was.
The first editions, in Milan, Milano Marittima, and Simeri, were heavily focused on tennis, but the discovery of the Forte Village, starting from the fourth edition, led us to a major transformation, turning the event into an opportunity to combine the importance of relationships and the exchange of ideas and experiences with the commitment of a conference focused on highly relevant and current topics.
All of this has over time created a community that finds its magical moment at Linkontro, in Sardinia, during the third week of May.
Forty years have passed, the world has changed, but our community continues to meet.
The journey continues.
