Senior Research Scientist
Diego Ortego Hernández works as Senior Research Scientist at NielsenIQ, where he interacts with ML research challenges and develop new models that overcome business needs. Deep learning for NLP with Transformers, extreme multi-label classification, information retrieval or long-tailed label distributions are among his team’s daily challenges.
From September 2018 to March 2021, Diego worked as a Postdoc at Insight Centre for Data Analytics (Dublin City University), where his research was focused on visual representation learning with limited supervision. He published works at top-venues like CVPR, ICML, WACV, IJCNN, BMVC or ICASSP.
Diego received his PhD in Computer Science in 2018 at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain), where he participated in several projects dealing with computer vision tasks.
