A leading confectionery brand in Australia sought to improve performance across key retail channels by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize pricing, assortment, and promotions. Through our panel data they noticed that their brand’s chocolate sales made up 7.5% of the total category sales but they were underperforming in Retailer X. Shopper attrition and decline in spend was the main reason for this, with fewer buyers returning and the drop in spend per trip at Retailer X – suggesting issues with pricing and assortment.

Gap to opportunity – While market data suggested an expected 48% share, the brand only had 38% share, highlighting a clear growth opportunity.
