Please note that this Privacy Policy addresses the information collection and handling practices associated with NielsenIQ client’s employees and authorized representatives as set forth herein. NielsenIQ websites, products and services and other platforms may be subject to their own policies specific to the website, product or service or other platform.

What information do we collect from you?

To facilitate NielsenIQ’s marketing and promotional activities and for other business purposes, we may collect your name, job title, employer name, brand name, audio and video recordings, photographs and testimonials directly from you. 

For what purposes do we process your information?

We will use your information to promote NielsenIQ products and services. NielsenIQ may use the information collected from you in any publicity or advertising relating to any products/services that NielsenIQ offers and for general business purposes. If you agree to participate, your information may be used on websites, online programs, digital contents, television, radio, social media channels, podcasts, publishing and printed presentations.    

To which recipients will your information be disclosed?

Your information may be disseminated by the following means:

  • Within the NielsenIQ group of companies. To achieve the objectives described above, and because we are part of a larger group of companies operating internationally, we may from time to time make your information available to other companies within the NielsenIQ group of companies.
  • Websites of NielsenIQ group of companies.
  • Social networks: LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Yammer, etc.
  • NielsenIQ may also communicate your information to third parties, who provide services on behalf of NielsenIQ in relation to the indicated processing purposes.
  • Other platforms that allow access to third parties to achieve the objectives described herein.

What is the legal basis for the processing of your information?

Depending on your country of residence, local law may require us to state a legal basis for processing the personal information we collect about you. The legal basis for the processing of your information is the consent you give when you sign this Consent Form. Please note that you can refuse to give your consent, and you may withdraw your consent at any time, without any detriment.

How long do we store your information?

The period of retention of your data will be for the time necessary to satisfy the purposes for which you have provided them, as well as to meet the responsibilities of NielsenIQ that may arise from the information you provided or any other legal requirements. 

Do we carry out international data transfers?

We may store and process your data in your home country and/or we may transfer and export these data outside your home country to any country where we have offices or in which we engage service providers and processors, including the United States and India. The data protection laws of other countries may differ from those in your home country. When we transfer data, we ensure that we have adopted appropriate transfer mechanism and only do so in compliance with applicable laws for data transfer.

What are your rights when you provide us with your information?

You have certain data subject rights established in your local data protection legislations (e.g., GDPR, UK Data Protection Act 2018, California Consumer Privacy Act). You may exercise the right(s) of access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to withdraw consent, etc. Please note that your withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal information before the withdrawal.

If you contact us as described above, please include sufficient information to identify yourselves, the activities related to your request and request details. NielsenIQ may ask you for additional information to verify your identity.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may make changes to this Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” noted at the top of this document shows when this Policy was last revised. If we were to make any material changes, we will email you at the email address you provided prior to the implementation, giving you time to withdraw your consent if you need.
