Nielsen celebrates the power of female leaders in the adult beverage industry

At Nielsen, diversity and inclusion is an important part of our organization’s DNA, where inclusivity is reflected throughout the culture of our company and how we do business. Recently, we presented at the Women of the Vine Member Luncheon in New York City, where, among an audience of some of the most influential, female executives in the adult beverage industry, Nielsen announced a new corporate alliance with Women of the Vine & Spirits.

Women of the Vine & Spirits is a membership-based trade organization aimed to support, advance, and connect women in the wine and spirits industry. Within a male-dominated industry, this organization fills a void and provides a unique forum to foster diversity and empowerment of women in all sectors of the industry, at every position in the field through advocacy, training, education, and mentorship.

Through our alliance with Women of the Vine & Spirit, we pledge a commitment to help fuel the empowerment and advancement of women in the adult beverage industry. Over the next year, Nielsen will dedicate analytic resources to Women of the Vine members. Through Nielsen data and intelligence series, members will gain valuable insight into the latest trends within the on premise and off premise beverage alcohol space. One of the first pieces of thought leadership that we will be sharing with members will be around the power of the female drinker, based on a recent Nielsen study.

“We look forward to working with Nielsen to further strengthen our pillar of education for our members,” said Deborah Brenner, Founder and CEO, Women of the Vine & Spirits. “Together, we aim to give females in the industry greater access to resources, data, and tools needed to thrive in the alcohol beverage industry.”

“We are honored to support this incredible community that is changing the status quo of women in the beverage alcohol space,” said Danny Brager, SVP of Nielsen’s Beverage Alcohol practice. “This alliance enables us to make a positive impact in the alcohol beverage industry by demonstrating Nielsen’s strength in diversity and inclusion. We are excited for the opportunity to share our expertise in this area and we look forward to fueling the growth of Women of the Vine & Spirits and its overall mission.”
