J. Javier Yebes is an Innovation and leadership professional with 12+ years of experience applying research advances in several data science fields, leading strategic projects and managing an internationally diverse team of ML researchers and engineers. He has a broad career path in industry, R&D centers, SMEs and universities where he enjoyed technical to leading roles in ML, DL, GenAI, CV, NLP. He has embraced the change as a career catapult living in different countries/cities, adapting to change management, and keeping abreast of new AI, data and technology trends.
He received the Ph.D. (Cum Laude) in 2014 in Electrical Engineering in the field of Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics from the University of Alcalá (UAH) and he has several published scientific papers in international venues and awarded patents as part of his research work throughout his career.
He is currently manager of research science within NIQ technology for ML innovation and automation within Consumer Intelligence products. Before joining NIQ he worked mainly in the areas of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Autonomous Vehicles.
