Ruth Ducena

Ruth Ducena is NIQ’s Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary.

She leads the company’s global legal organization and serves as a strategic advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership team. She oversees the legal, governance, regulatory, and compliance matters that enable NIQ’s operations across more than 90 countries.

Since joining NIQ in 2018, Ruth has played a central role in NIQ’s strategic evolution, serving as a trusted legal advisor and strategic business partner during several of its defining milestones, including Advent International’s acquisition of the company, the combination with GfK, and NIQ’s IPO. Known for her pragmatic approach and commercial judgment, Ruth partners closely with business leaders to enable growth and manage risk. She is committed to building a modern, high-performing legal organization that combines legal excellence with commercial judgment to help the business innovate, grow, and create long-term value.

Before joining NIQ, Ruth was a corporate attorney in the New York office of a leading global Magic Circle law firm, where she advised public and private companies on sophisticated domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, financings, and other complex corporate transactions. Before beginning her legal career, she was an Analyst at JPMorgan in New York, where she developed a strong foundation in finance and business strategy that continues to shape her commercially focused approach to legal leadership.

Ruth earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Florida and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
