How NIQ Uses AI During Recruitment

As part of our recruitment process, NielsenIQ (NIQ) uses a trusted third-party AI-enabled technology provider, Spotted Zebra Solutions Ltd, to support the assessment of candidates for certain roles. These tools ingest categories of personal information, including your CV/resume content, application data, assessment responses, and interview responses, and help us evaluate information relevant to the recruitment process, such as skills, competencies, assessment results, and role suitability. Where voice or video interviews are analyzed, your responses are transcribed and assessed based on their content — not on how you look or sound. These tools can generate recommendations or summaries to support recruiters and hiring managers. For some roles, you will interact directly with an AI-enabled tool during the interview or assessment process.

Why does NIQ use AI-enabled recruitment tools?

The purpose of these tools is to improve the consistency, efficiency, and quality of our recruitment process. Every output is reviewed by an authorized NIQ recruiter or hiring manager, who may accept, adjust, or override it, and it is used alongside other relevant information as part of the overall recruitment process.

Please note: recruiting decisions are made by our recruiting and hiring teams only, not by AI on its own.

What You May Experience During the Recruitment Process

Your recruitment journey will depend on the role you apply for, your location, and the requirements of that particular hiring process. Not every NIQ recruitment process uses the same tools or stages the approach varies depending on the role, location, and applicable local legal or regulatory requirements.

Where AI-enabled technology is used, your journey may include:

  • AI-supported shortlisting:
Information from your application and CV is assessed against the skills and requirements relevant to the role, helping our recruitment teams identify candidates whose experience and skills align with the opportunity.
  • Assessments:
Depending on the opportunity, you may be asked to complete an assessment designed to evaluate skills relevant to the position.
  • AI-enabled interviews:
For some roles, you’ll be invited to an AI-enabled interview, where you’ll be asked questions designed to help you demonstrate skills and competencies relevant to the role.
  • AI-generated summaries and recommendations:
AI-enabled tools summarize information gathered during parts of the process and provide insights or recommendations for our recruiters and hiring managers to review
