NielsenIQ names Myriam Vidalon as first Chief Diversity, Talent, and Culture Officer

Driving transformational change

We are transforming our business to become the leading information services company. We are embarking on a journey that will allow us to answer the questions our clients are asking today and will ask tomorrow, with innovative products and modern technology.

Attracting, developing, and retaining the best talent while creating the best work culture is critical to achieving our goals. Thus, placing our people at the center of our transformation strategy is one of NielsenIQ’s priorities.

That is why we are thrilled to announce that Myriam Vidalon has been promoted as the first Chief Diversity, Talent, and Culture Officer of NielsenIQ. In this role, Myriam will help us achieve our representation goals, create inclusive and equitable processes and actions, drive NielsenIQ’s agenda in performance and talent management, succession planning, and leadership development, but most importantly, design and execute changes in our culture to improve the overall employee experience and talent lifecycle.

There is great work going on across our company and Myriam’s experience and vision on diversity and inclusion (D&I) will make sure they are woven into the entire talent agenda, with measurement and accountability from the top. This includes providing actionable counsel and support to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and serving as an external partner to relevant industry groups, diversity organizations, and associations.

Myriam’s phenomenal background and deep expertise in transformational change have been game-changing to our organization. She has been key in redesigning our company’s performance management to support inclusive processes, launching new talent flags to identify high potential talent based on more objective criteria, achievement of results, an employee desire to grow, and engagement and embedding new processes as part of the managers’ performance process. In addition, she designed and launched NielsenIQ’s ERG program to cover our global footprint and has supported the representation of women in leadership globally, Black, and Hispanic talent in our U.S. operations, while driving the wellbeing of our associates.

Enhancing our culture of excellence

As Chief Diversity, Talent, and Culture Officer, Myriam will expand her role and influence, internally and externally, as she continues to provide strategic direction for enterprise-wide programs that accelerate the alignment of talent, employee relations, culture, and capabilities with NielsenIQ’s commitment to its D&I and culture of excellence goals. Additionally, she will drive the strategy for, and oversee our Corporate Citizenship team, covering NielsenIQ’s Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) work.

As a truly global company, operating in nearly 100 markets with a diverse and multicultural stakeholder base, diversity and inclusion have long been inherent in our company values and culture. Myriam will represent the interests, voices, and experiences of NielsenIQ’s talent at the executive level and will be an advocate for enhancing employee engagement and the workplace environment.

We are proud to have Myriam serve as our first Chief Diversity, Talent, and Culture Officer. We’re certain that she will continue to support our transformation journey with her innovative ideas and initiatives.
