Fransisco has a Ph.D. in Computer Science with more than 5 years of experience in research in computer vision and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). He graduated as a Computer Engineer at the University of Valladolid before obtaining his master’s degree in research in ICT. After completing his Ph.D. and 10 years working in an academic environment as a research assistant at the University of Valladolid, he moved to NIQ to continue his career, finding real business applications for his research and working on deep learning.
Fransisco’s current research interests involve deep learning technologies applied to product characterization and classification. In his current role, he works actively in MLOps, helping researchers to deploy in production their solutions as soon as possible. Fransisco’s other hobbies include comic books, open-source software, cool movies, and TV shows.
