John Blenke

John Blenke is NIQ’s Chief Legal Officer.

He joined NIQ as its Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in 2022. Prior to joining NIQ he was the executive vice president, corporate general counsel and corporate secretary for TransUnion (NYSE:TRU).

John has over 40+ years of legal experience for privately owned and publicly traded, complex, multinational organizations in technology and information, consumer data, finance, and more. He believes in change, that there is always a better way of doing the daily routine. He has led teams and advised senior leaders and public company boards of directors on corporate governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, equity securities and debt offerings, litigation, intellectual property use, information security and privacy, government affairs, and general enterprise risk management.

Prior to TransUnion, John was in various legal and senior legal leadership roles with Household International/HSBC, Borg-Warner Corporation and Kemper Corporation.

Mr. Blenke received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 1977 and his JD degree from DePaul University in Chicago in 1980. He was a member of the American Society of Corporate Secretaries for over 25 years, serving on its Securities Law Committee, has been an industry arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., and has served on the boards of directors of industry associations and various start-up insurance focused entities.
