VIP Beauty Experience
Beauty and personal care attendees started the week at our Beauty VIP event, where a small group had the opportunity to network and indulge in various beauty activities. The highlight of the event was a special experience from Tabitha Dumas – a color analyst from the greater Phoenix area who provided a mini color analysis for each of our guests. This analysis helped attendees discover what colors work best with their skin tone so they can confidently select the right clothing, makeup, hair color, and accessories. Guests were also able to design their own personalized makeup bags and consult with an aromatherapist to create custom body lotions and bath scrubs.
Beauty Networking Luncheon
The NielsenIQ Beauty team was thrilled to host a networking luncheon for 50 of our beauty and personal care clients where guests were able to take a break and chat with their industry colleagues. Special thanks to our partners at Brandshare for providing each of our lunch guests with a Walmart Beauty Box full of goodies to take home with them!
Strategic Session on Beauty Innovation featuring Maesa
Our highlight of the conference was a strategic breakout session focused on beauty innovation trends. Anna Mayo, VP Beauty Vertical for NielsenIQ, shared a new analysis on the state of innovation across beauty, health, and wellness. The presentation also unveiled NielsenIQ’s top innovation trends to watch for the year. We then had the privilege of hearing directly from top beauty innovators from Maesa, a leading beauty incubator. Krystal Dawson, VP, NielsenIQ BASES had the opportunity to speak with Dana Steinfeld, SVP Brand Incubation and Product Innovation, and Kelly Hunter, Director of Brand Incubation and Product Innovation. Dana and Kelly shared some of Maesa’s ‘secrets to success,’ including putting white space at the center of product development, creating close involvement with brand founders, and forging deep partnerships with key retailers.
NIQ’s C360 is a unique opportunity for brands and retailers to unite for a week of insights and networking. In fact, Kelly Hunter, Director of Brand Incubation and Product Innovation at Maesa said, “C360 brings together a diverse mix of consumer goods businesses and we found it particularly interesting to see how other industries outside of beauty use data to drive insights and innovation. It was our first time attending the event and it helped us understand the variety of NIQ products and how they can help solve different problems with real use case scenarios.”
While we were there to work, it didn’t stop us from having a lot of fun as well! Additional highlights of the week included:
- Enjoying the beautiful outdoor Arizona weather for breakfast and dinner
- A throwback 90’s night party complete with snap bracelets, bucket hats, and 90s hip hop music
- A private performance from the Gin Blossoms to end the conference
- Our beauty programs made it a truly enjoyable and unique event – and we hope to see you in Hollywood, FL, June 2-4, 2025!
