In the latest 12 months, Britain has lost around one in 18 of its licenced premises – that’s 5,736 pubs, restaurants, bars and cafes – the new Hospitality Market Monitor from CGA by NIQ and AlixPartners reveals.

Inflation as measured by the CGA Prestige Foodservice Price Index fell marginally to 21.7% year-on-year in July.
