Cosmoprof 2026: Key Trends to Watch

Cosmoprof North America is known as the place to experience the best innovations in beauty. Brands from around the world attend to learn from each other, network, and showcase their latest and greatest offerings. 2026’s Miami edition of the show was no exception, highlighting new ingredient trends, creative and functional packaging, and solutions to help consumers look and feel their best.


Brands took inspiration from the grocery aisle, with ingredients like mung bean, manuka honey, and matcha making their way into skin and hair care products. These ingredients are driving sales in the market, with facial skin care containing matcha growing +39.4%, and facial skin care containing mung bean growing +10.9%. In hair care, products with manuka honey are topping $52M in sales, and those with prickly pear are generating over $6.8M in sales.1 


Busy lives demand multi-functional products to help speed up our routines. In fact, 39% of US Consumers report feeling more time crunched in the last 6 months.2 Some of the standouts at Cosmoprof Miami were: sunscreen with complexion-enhancing shimmer, a dual formula concealer, and an all-in-one palette containing blush, highlighter, contour, and eye shadow! These all help to save time, which is important when 33% of global consumers say that the last few years have made them realize “less is more.”3


While we all obsess about our hair and scalp health, brands are introducing nourishing ingredients like peptides, rice water, and proteins to help repair hair and scalp. In the US, we are seeing hair care products with hyaluronic acid have grown +53%, glycolic acid ingredients are up +171%, and peptides are up +19%.4


The latest packaging trends remind us that beauty is supposed to be fun. From fragrances packaged as desserts to makeup disguised as cookies, there is a guilt-free indulgence for everyone. These package innovations are on the heels of gourmand scents growing across US Beauty, plum ingredients are up +14.8%, Cocoa ingredients are up +16.2%, and vanilla has grown by +13.4%.5


Beauty and Wellness continue to converge, and sales are reflecting the growth, with wellness dollars up +12%6 in the US. Products are stepping up to support the journey by improving sleep through, enhancing wellness through wearable patches, and improving the skin’s microbiome.
