Central Asia’s growing Consumer Market

A young, expanding population with rising incomes – and a rapidly modernizing route to market.
Uzbekistani consumers are largely open to trying new products and brands, and nearly half say they value quality enough to pay more for it – a consumer base primed for premiumization and new entrants in beer, spirits, and adjacent categories.
At the same time, a large proportion of retail outlets don’t yet handle beer or alcohol, pointing to distribution expansion beyond the specialist stores that currently dominate the category. For beer and alcohol brands, that’s a rare combination: demand-side appetite meeting a supply-side gap still waiting to be filled.
