GfK’s Map of the Month for November shows the distribution of purchasing power across Europe in 2018.
According to GfK’s latest purchasing power study, Europeans have an average of €14,292 per person available for spending and saving in 2018. But this per capita purchasing power varies dramatically among the 42 studied countries. First-ranked Liechtenstein is far ahead of the field with €65,438, followed by Switzerland with €40,456 and Iceland at €32,958. At the other end of the spectrum are Moldova and the Ukraine, with just €1,843 and €1,318 respectively. Purchasing power insights help retailers and manufacturers identify the most lucrative regions for selling and promoting their products.
